Cheering for Alfie!
When we first got Alfie, a 5-year-old off track thoroughbred, he needed some TLC.
He hadn’t worked in about a year. He was under-muscled, a bit underweight, and
showed signs of having ulcers, which was no surprise based on his history.
He was extremely reactive to any touching, even gentle brushing, of his belly,
kicking out at the slightest touch.
Under saddle, he wouldn’t even move forward at the trot. He’d dig his heels in
and just stop. We weren’t sure if he would work out as a riding horse, but
decided to try treating him for ulcers to find out if that was the root cause.
Only a month and a half later, he is absolutely thriving! We put him on a
14-day course of Ulcer Gard as soon as we could, and then immediately switched
to daily GastroMend XC™ for maintenance. The difference has been amazing.
He is putting on weight and muscle seemingly daily and has developed a nice
shine to his coat. He’s happy to be brushed all over. He’s also not only moving
forward at the trot, but has become a joy to ride walk, trot, canter, and even
over some small jumps. Best of all, the sparkle is back in his eyes. We’re so
excited for the future with this guy, and so happy that he’s able to be his
best self now that his tummy is feeling better.

SynNutra Riders Are Heating Things Up!
Our team had an epic close to the winter season in Wellington with SynNutra
sponsored riders finishing 1st and 2nd in the CSI5* $500k Rolex Grand Prix!
Ashlee Bond
blew everyone away with her win aboard Karoline of Ballmore and teammate
Daniel Bluman took 2nd with the always impressive Ladriano Z. They love giving
SynChill™
prior to each class and we’d say it’s working!
The wins continue with Olivia Brown from
Harley Brown Equestrian,
Michael Tokaruk,
Kyle King
and Ashlee Bond twice again!
Olympian Ashlee Bond and Karoline Of Ballmore, competing in their first
jump-off together, were able to blaze through the jump-off course in 44.09
seconds and leave all of the jumps up to take the lead.
Our riders are winning so much we can barely keep track! We are thrilled to be
a part of helping these teams stay on top of their game!
